Beginners Courses
We can help you try out archery in a safe and friendly environment with the help of experienced archers and qualified coaches.
Courses are only run at certain times of the year and are organised and run entirely by club volunteers in their own time. Once you enquire there may be a lengthy wait before the next course. We ask for your patience.
We currently have a waiting list for courses and tasters but if you register online you will be added to the list and contacted in due course.
Have a Go Days
If you just want to try Archery, we also run occasional events where you can just “have a go”. Check this events page for details of any up coming events
Tasters & Other Events
Have you always wanted to try archery? Now is your chance. We run a number of taster events, and Senior and Junior beginners’ courses throughout the year.
Spaces are extremely limited. If you would like to book your place on one of the sessions, or even just register your interest for future events, it’s easy. Just fill out the form at the bottom of this page, and someone will get back to you.
NEXT TASTER SESSIONS
SAT 24TH FEBRUARY
We will be running two taster sessions on Saturday 24th February. There are a great way to try archery indoors in a safe and friendly environment, with the help of experienced archers.
Session One: 10am until 11am
Session Two: 12noon until 1pm
The cost is £10 for one sesssion.
Adults and children aged 8 and over are welcome to take part. Children who are between the ages of 8 and 15 MUST be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
To book a your place at one of the sessions, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page. If you have a preference for which of the two sessions you would prefer to attend (or if there is one that you cannot attend), please let us know. DO bear in mind that there are minimal spaces, and they will be given on a first come first served basis.
NEXT ADULT BEGINNERS’ COURSE
FRIDAY 5TH APRIL
The next beginners’ course for adults who are new to archery will start on Friday, April 5th, for 6 weeks.
You will need to attend a minimum of 5 of those weeks to complete the course, and you must have already completed one of our taster sessions. The cost is only £75 per person and is a great opportunity to experience the thrill of archery and meet new friends.
There are minimal spaces and will be given on a first come first served basis. Payment must be made in advance, and all equipment is provided. If you would like to book a place, please fill out the form at the bottom of the page.
NEXT JUNIOR BEGINNERS’ COURSE
NO SESSIONS SCHEDULED
The waiting list for the next course will open in February 2024. We are not able to add you to the list before then
The price of the beginners course is £75.
